There are two main atomization principles used, one is ultrasonic atomizer and the other is compression atomizer.

Ultrasound

Ultrasonic atomizer: the use of ultrasonic principle, the liquid atomization.

The ultrasonic nebulizer has no selectivity to the mist particles, so most of the drug particles produced can only be deposited in the upper respiratory tract such as the oral cavity and larynx, and due to the small amount of deposition in the lungs, it cannot effectively treat lower respiratory tract diseases. At the same time, due to the large mist particles and fast atomization produced by the ultrasonic nebulizer, the patient inhales too much water vapor, humidifies the respiratory tract, and the dry and thick secretions in the respiratory tract that originally partially blocked the bronchus absorb water and expand. The resistance of the respiratory tract may cause hypoxia, and the ultrasonic nebulizer may cause the liquid medicine to form water droplets and hang on the inner cavity wall, which has poor effect on lower respiratory tract diseases, large demand and causes waste.

Compression

Air compression atomizer: also called jet atomization, it is based on the venturi (Venturi) spray principle, using compressed air to form a high-speed airflow through a small nozzle, and the generated negative pressure drives the liquid or other fluids to spray together to the barrier On the object, it splashes around under high-speed impact to turn the droplets into mist particles and spray them from the outlet pipe.
